I started by wanting to show direction. Then, seeing that in fact I pointed out three directions at once, I reinforced one of the three. But board I done right? Let doubt he would have been more interesting? This temporary directional sign was just on the bank of the river where waiting patiently creation who asked to be discovery. But by casting doubt on his status may be the discovery would have been more fun. Anyway it worked because, perched above the gorge I could see a few walkers stop for a few moments here and then look toward the water in the direction of the work.

Dogwood: finishing touches
Finally using these branches of dogwood I made two small paintings. One of them, which initially was not one (as was the case for "impromptu" ) and I am presenting today. And another thing I would present next week. These two works are basic but they were made to serve as the basis for an article on the site "land art in the family" . The wording of this section will therefore show a way to make and not a final object.
As for the "impromptu" So it was sort of the branches of the smallest to the largest and color, then put it all so clearly, eventually, to take branches so easily without searching for hours in a haphazard pile. Trier is also a way to get acquainted with the materials. It takes time, but in the end, ideas can come to making this work and if it is not the case, you'll see any more clear when this work done. Bringing order is a typically human way, but ... why is this bad?
